Job Description: The Texas Divisions Distribution Center, located in Roanoke, Texas (Dallas / Fort Worth Metro Area) has an opening for a Transportation Supervisor. This position will supervise mechanics, drivers and equipment. Dispatch retail store deliveries. Ensure driver compliance with state and federal DOT regulations. Assist with required records, reports and control systems. The position can work without a manager physically on site.

Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
 High school graduate; Bachelors or 2 years supervisory experience in grocery logistics and / or transportation equivalent
 3+ years experience of progressive trucking / maintenance experience / grocery retail preferred
 Knowledge of OSHA & DOT safety regulations, sanitation, and food safety - Management Level
 Strong technical skills and experience with Manugistics, One Network, Yard & Dock, CAMS and XATA Transportation software
 Experience using warehouse management system to interact with Manugistics
 Excellent math skills
 Enthusiastic and willing to learn new programs and procedures
 Ability to make decisions quickly and cost effectively
 Possess strong resolution skills and have the ability to take decisive action
 Excellent written and oral interpersonal/communication skills
 Proven leadership ability to encompass a minimum 3+ years experience managing 30+ reports
 Able to chart, forecast, plan, manage, and measure day-to-day operations
 Able to effectively interact with multiple levels within the distribution center and within the company
 Exhibits initiative and a high energy for innovation, exemplary customer service skills, and resourcefulness
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite to include high level of Excel proficiency

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 Commitment to providing and maintaining a safe work environment
 Lead, coach, and supervise transportation personnel to attain specific goals and measurable results
 Must be able to work a schedule to support the business (including weekends, holidays, and nights)
 Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
 Train and develop dispatchers and drivers, identifying and mentoring high potential candidates
 Successful interaction between other departments within the distribution center and retail
 Maintain positive associate relations
 Provide superior service to our customers
 Determine equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs
 Maintain capital assets in an as-designed condition in a cost effective manner
 Implement new and monitor existing initiatives to reduce cost
 Supervise and dispatch drivers, mechanics, and clerks
 Work with drivers to maintain safe and courteous driving skills / facilitate meetings and development workshops
 Ensure accuracy within transportation operations
 Ensure compliance with all OSHA, DOT, Sanitation and Food Safety regulations
 Maintain accurate and complete documentation of transportation operations and personnel
