JOB SUMMARY:
Adjunct Faculty - Web Design Description: Adjunct Faculty members are committed to upholding the mission of the College by providing the highest level of instruction to students. Faculty members are responsible for advising students within their program of instruction and assisting the Academic Department in the revision, development and implementation of programs and curricula. All faculty members are expected to support and uphold the College's policies, proceduresand objectives within the classroom. ***Must have knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, Java Script, jQuery Word Press. Strong graphic design skills preferred. Basic computer networking knowledge helpful. Duties: 1.Follow and complete the objectives as stated in the syllabus for each course taught and meets standard compentencies. 2. Cover all material in depth and scope decsribed in the syllabus. 3. Ensures the students have attained minimum course competencies as described in the course syllabus. 4. Uses a variety of styles in order to accomodate the various learning modes of students. 5. Compiles, administers and grades all assignments and examiniations in a timely manner and returns all items gathered from students. 6. Comes to class prepared to meet daily and weekly objectives and competencies through lectures, activities, handouts and guest speakers, etc. 7. Begins class on time (at designated time) and provides a FULL period of instruction for each class. 8. Keeps accurate attendance and turns in attendance roster to registrar for each class period in the time required. 9. Ensures class and laboratory areas are kept clean and orderly. 10. Active participant in helping to ensure students don't withdraw in all classes taught. 11. Turns in final grades for all courses taught by the time designated by the registrar. 12. Participates when possible in graduation ceremonies. 13. Attends campus faculty meetings, faculty development training and other meetings as assigned. 14. Performs aother duties designated by the Program Director and Director of Student Affairs. Qualifications: - Bachelors Dgree preferred - Minimum of four years of practical work experience. - One (1) year of instruction experience recommended. - Has the technical knowledge needed in the particular field of study.
