JOB SUMMARY:
Craftsmen - Mechanical: Diesel, Fixed Plant, Field Maintenance Requisition # SAL000YP Craftsmen - Mechanics work in three different areas: Fixed Plant - perform general mechanical maintenance with rotating equipment. Work with shafts and sheave alignment, laser and conventional, pump maintenance, pipe fitting, welding and hydraulic maintenance. Actively participate in problem solving. Have the ability to trouble shoot the equipment. Identify, develop and help implement continuous improvements to equipment and processes. Mobile Equipment - perform maintenance, inspection and repair of diesel and diesel-electric powered equipment. Work with engine tune-up, radiators and cooling systems, transmissions and differential gears and clutches, electric and hydraulic systems, removal and installation of components and welding. Field Maintenance - perform maintenance, inspection and repair of Hydraulic/Electric shovels and drills designed to operate in mines for high production loading of 240 ton to 400 ton haul trucks and larger. What it Takes ?Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED). ?Must be willing to work rotating 12 hour shifts, overtime, weekends holidays. ?Must be at least 18 years of age. ?Perform welding, pipefitting and alignment as required. ?Maintain an excellent safety attendance record. ?Communicate professionally. ?A four- year apprenticeship or journeyman is preferred. ?Working knowledge of Delta V a plus. ?Skills demonstration may be required. Some Craftsmen - Mechanical positions also require the following: ?Operate electrical systems including AC/DC motors, PLC's VFD's. ?Have a working knowledge of ladder logic, utilizing R.S. Logix. ?Have a working knowledge of level, temperature, flow, pressure, analytical elements and transmitters. ?Perform instrumentation-gauge calibration. ?Install and maintain instrumentation.
