JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Engineer - Control Systems ( Molybdenum Company) Requisition # SAL0014E Accountabilities: ?Promote a Zero Harm work environment ?Ensure all health, safety and environmental standards for Rio and outside regulatory agencies are complied with ?Ensure process safety management elements are implemented ?Provide technical leadership to support the development of strategy and tactics to advance plant automation and process controls improvements, including business case development ?Work with engineering personnel to define and implement control systems requirements ?Work with engineers, consultants, and suppliers as the technical liaison between those organizations and plant operations ?Design, review, approve and implement regulatory and discrete control system strategies on PLC systems ?Design, review, approve and implement PLC Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) ?Support the design and implementation of the control system hardware and software installations ?Develop, review and/or manage PLC/DCS interface commissioning and start-up plans Qualifications: ?B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related field is required ?Demonstrated past experience analyzing process controls data and assessing the impact of control systems on plant performance ?5 plus years of identifying process controls improvement opportunities, designing, developing justifications, recommending and implementing changes to control strategies, and measuring performance improvements ?Demonstrated past experience, identifying reliability related improvement opportunities, designing, developing, justifying, recommending and implementing changes to online troubleshooting tools and online monitoring of critical equipment ?5 plus years of programming and troubleshooting with Allen-Bradley ControLogix PLC's is required. ?Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS preferred ?Requires good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. Requires good planning, time organization, and problem-solving skills ?Training in PLC, Ethernet, Control Networks and Windows
