JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Engineer, Operations - MAP Requisition # SAL001DT ?Assist developing and tracking KPI process ?Provide daily guidance of process control and optimization ?Mentor MAP Specialists and Operation Superintendents as directed by the business ?Develop production reports as needed ?Coordinate scheduled plant shutdowns ?Assist with EMS/QMS implementation and requirements ?Complete operational improvement projects with respect to improving efficiencies or process control as directed by the Operations Manager ?Assist supervising and coordinating the activities of Operation Superintendents as directed by the Operations Manager ?Assist in developing operations plan and maintenance plan to ensure smooth workflow between the teams ?Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments and management of change procedures for Operational tasks ?Assist with engineering projects and installation and training of new equipment as well as commissioning activities of new plant facilities and insure conformity to specification Qualifications: ?Background in operating/technical knowledge of autoclaving, solvent extraction, leaching, crystallizing and calcining is strongly preferred ?Experience in metallurgical or chemical operations leadership will be considered ?Supervisory experience is preferred ?BS Degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering or a related degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience preferred ?Advanced degrees may be considered relevant experience ?Must have the ability to effectively influence others at higher and lower level positions in the organization ?Knowledge and experience with use of SAP is strongly desired ?Advanced use of MS Excel and general spreadsheets is required ?Must be able to use MS PowerPoint to effectively communicate and present ideas Other Qualifications: ?Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment as well as excellent communication skills, both oral and written ?Use of team skills in participative problem solving, project implementation and continuous improvement is essential ?The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
