JOB SUMMARY:

Senior Engineer - Projects (Engineering Services) Requisition # SAL001ED ?Provide engineering support and guidance for KUC initiatives. ?Interact closely with KUC operations, maintenance, technical services and procurement for scoping, development and execution of capital and operations projects. ?Provide HSEQ leadership on projects. Ensure that all safety and environmental standards are incorporated in design, engineering and construction. ?Maintain control and track scope, cost and schedule on projects. Set priorities. Regularly review project status, schedule, cost, drawings and specifications with stakeholders. ?Prepare detailed designs, cost estimates, schedules and support funding requests for projects. ?Establish contracting strategy for each project and prepare scopes-of-work. ?Perform project technical and HSE risk assessments. ?Review and prepare equipment specifications. ?Prepare all engineering and construction bid packages and contracts. ?Direct activities of outside engineering firms used to provide detailed engineering, design, schedules and construction drawings. ?Manage all construction contracts. ?Commission all project facilities and equipment and insure conformity to specification. ?Process and obtain all building, environmental and construction permits. ?Utilize the Management of Change process. EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS: College/University Education: ?B.S. in an Engineering discipline. ?A Project Management Professional Certificate is desirable. Other Qualifications: ?Minimum 7 years Project Management experience including construction management. ?Experience in Project Management in the mining or other heavy industry is a plus. ?Strong writing skills and financial acumen (cash flows, NPV calculations).
