JOB SUMMARY:
General Summary of Position The Social Outreach Specialist is responsible for researching, analyzing, collecting data, reaching out to Bloggers and Vloggers to build relationships and to produce content. The candidate will also manage, maintain and grow GOAL ZERO?s blog. Must be able to use Word press and all applicable social media outlets (facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, youtube). The candidate will interact with potential digital Ambassadors, customers and fans on various social platforms and email. Other duties include tracking Bloggers, Vloggers and the reviews that correspond to them. Must be able to coordinate the marketing calendar with online activity, ensuring consistency of messages across all the social platforms, and continuous monitoring and coverage of all sites. They will effectively coordinate with the Interactive Media Manager, Web Producer and the Digital Marketing Manager. The candidate will have expert knowledge of social networking channels, excellent verbal and writing skills, a sharp wit and a willingness to work during nonstandard business hours. Prior experience in customer service, advertising, public relations or online marketing is preferred. Duties Responsibilities ? Daily outreach- engage in dialogue, start conversation, answer questions with potential Digital Ambassadors ? Content Calendar- plan and execute communication for all reviews, blog posts, video posts, product launches, holidays, events and editorial postings, etc. ? Identify and implement new platforms ? Monitor trends, tools and applications ? Implement new ideas/promotions ? Create a comprehensive social outreach strategy to increase visibility, membership and traffic to the website and social sites ? Experience with new and alternative ways to leverage social outreach activities ? Measure the impact of social outreach on the overall marketing efforts ? Promotions of new content including posts, tweets, infographics, blog posts and videos (youtube) Organization -Reports directly to the Interactive Media Manager Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ? Social media tools and techniques ? Marketing (traditional, new media, guerilla and ?word of mouth?) ? Strategy ? Product marketing ? Social promotions ? Creativity, willingness to experiences and the ability to deal with uncertainty ? Excellent writing skills and the willingness to use them ? Excellent verbal communication skills ? Ability to create great working relationships with all the levels within the company and across multiple disciplines ? Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks, do what it takes to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment ? Excellent organization and communication skills ?
