JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Ensure the proper setting, clearing, and resetting of tables to be presentable for customers. Conducts food and beverage inventory and recommends requisition of needed items. Ensures the proper garnishing and decorating of dishes/beverages preparatory to serving. Observes Lounge to respond to any additional requests. Records amount received and prepares reports of transactions. Reads and records totals shown on cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand. Quotes price and describes features of items for which money is received. Ensures area of responsibility is cleaned daily and all areas set for service. Monitors voids. Prints and distributes daily POS reports to GM and Food Beverage Director. Ensures bar area is locked and secured daily. Ensures all minors and perceived minors are checked and verified for age. Ensure that any minor entering the bar is accompanied by an adult. Trains and educates staff on proper procedures for order taking, micros operations, table service, greeting, and seating. Communicates with vendors and ensures quality service. Communicates with kitchen staff for daily specials, shortages, and 86d items. Observes patrons for alcoholic drinks being brought from outside locations. Ensures that all patrons are satisfied with their experience in the lounge area. Communicates with staff with regards to scheduling requests. Educates staff and patrons about local and state liquor laws. Enforces company policies and procedures regarding staff and patrons. Researches and books entertainment for weekends and special events. Covers shifts for employees that call out or leave early. Help manage the restaurant, front of house and back of house as needed. Ensures liquor, beer, and wine costs are within budgeted guidelines. At the end of every pay period make sure time sheets are signed and tip reports are turned in to HR.
