JOB SUMMARY:

Under the leadership of the teacher, provides developmentally appropriate early childhood education program for preschool children of low-income families. Works as a team member with other staff, parents, and volunteers. Assumes teacher duties in the temporary absence of the teacher. Experience working with low income, minority and special needs preschool children desirable. Ability to lift 50 pounds, relate with children, volunteers, parents and other staff required. Current physical, TB test, Utah Food Handler's Permit, First Aid and CPR cert. (or ability to obtain cert.) required. All employees must pass background criminal investigation. Employment preference for parents of current or former Head Start Students. Bilingual English/Spanish required. CDA certification required. Associate's degree in ECE highly desired. Drug and smoke-free employer.
