Aerospace Engineer. Duties include professional aerospace engineering positions involved in planning, research, test and evaluation, analysis, production, fabrication, operation, type certification, and/or maintenance of aerospace systems. The work requires application of scientific and engineering principles in the field of aeronautics such as aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, flight dynamics, flight structures, thermodynamics, flight propulsion, and maintenance. Maintenance engineering involves the design, overhaul, repair, operation, and age monitoring of aerospace vehicles in sustainment. SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must have a minimum of two (2) to twelve (12) years of relevant engineering experience (Government or industry) and a BS degree in a related engineering field. Senior positions require twelve (12) years related experience of which four years should be in a workload, management, or oversight capacity and a BS and/or MS degree in a related engineering field. Prior Department of Defense experience preferred.
