JOB SUMMARY:

Logisitician. Provides acquisition and sustainment logistics support and be knowledgeable of logistics best commercial practices and DoD directed concepts such as Performance-Based Logistics (PBL), Public Private Partnering (PPP), and supply chain management. Accomplish logistics management analyses, prepare written reports, conduct studies, define alternative solutions and recommend actions, and perform any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to accomplish logistics management of the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements. Assesses and develops requirements, within available or allocated resources, for funds, manpower, facilities, equipment, supplies, and services. Utilizes prescribed metrics to measure trends and indicators and provides status to senior managers. Understands and applies principals of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), system management, logistics readiness, logistics plans, logistics information systems, automated data processing, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Researches and provides details to senior management for alternative and innovative solutions to adverse logistics issues including best commercial practices and Inter and Intra-service or agency support agreements. Coordinates the activities of individual functional areas into a unified program to meet total support requirements. SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must have a minimum of two (2) through twelve (12) years logistics management experience (Government or industry). Senior positions also require four years in a workload, management, or oversight capacity. Prior Department of Defense experience preferred.
