The Maintenance Technician IV will ensure maximum operating efficiency, maintenance and repair of machines and equipment in production, including electrical repairs and PLC programming. DUTIES: -Respond to production requests for immediate attention to production issues and problems. -Maintain production equipment -Maintain records of preventative maintenance -Requisition of equipment and supplies to maintain equipment -Read and understand schematics, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic drawings -Ability to maintain PLC controls, electrical/electronic systems and general production line equipment. -Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE/TRAINING: Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes. Ability to make decisions based on standard practices. Broad depth of experience and knowledge of production machinery and equipment. Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve. Electrical knowledge/training. Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL EFFORT / ACTIVITY: Works regularly under production conditions. When in the production room(s), must withstand temperatures of 50-60 degrees F. Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required. Ability to stand/sit/walk/reach/climb/communicate. Lifting - can be over 100 lbs.
