JOB SUMMARY:

Embedded with USAF engineers in the USAF Hill facilities. Provide analysis and design of structural modifications for aircraft structure; provide analysis and design of desired USAF repairs for aircraft structure; interact with USAF staff at Hill AFB, Ogden, UT; author reports and prepare presentations. Requires a BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on aircraft structures with at least a 3.0 GPA. Must have 2 years experience in aircraft structures related analysis, repair analysis and design. Must have an introduction to Finite Element Analyses; must be familiar with aircraft structural analysis codes such as StressCheck and AFGROW; must be familiar with CAE packages; must be familiar with damage tolerance analyses; must be familiar with structural fatigue analyses; must be familiar with NX NASTRAN. Occasional travel to SwRI offices in San Antonio, TX will be required. A valid/clear driver's license is required. Note: Work assignment is in Hill AFB, Ogden, Utah. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
