JOB SUMMARY:

Assist preschool teachers in all aspects of the overall management of the assigned classroom as needed, including supervision of children at all times to ensure their safety, and being actively engaged with children in learning activities indoors and outdoors. Supervise/instruct children while on the bus, ensuring their safety at all times. CDA highly preferred. HS/GED required. Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred. Experience working with low income, minority and special needs preschool children desirable. Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds, relate with children, volunteers, parents and other staff required. Current Health Physical, TB test, Utah Food Handler's Permit, First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain certification) required. All employees must pass Utah Background Criminal Investigation. Employment preference given to parents of current or former Head Start students. Drug-free and smoke-free employer.
