JOB SUMMARY:
Title: Technical Project Manager Location: UT - Information Technology O Technical Project Manager The Technical Project Manager III directs the implementation of IT tactical and strategic objectives in support of the TOPS and Zions Bancorporation strategic business plans, and coordinates this effort across the IT organization. Responsibilities include: * Leading a team that assumes responsibility for technical project implementation, including systems and application installation and development, and vendor coordination and legacy systems integration * Collaborating with IT management and IT colleagues to translate corporate/functional business and information objectives into an IT implementation plan * Communicating effectively with project teams, resource management teams, IT management and executive groups and all project stakeholders * Consulting within the IT organization to develop appropriate support for IT-centric projects from various technology and service departments * Developing project plans and schedules and pro-actively managing them to completion * Collaborating with IT PM team to accomplish team initiatives and create and improve team and organizational processes Required Skills include: * Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate team members and facilitate change in the organization * Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, processes and tools * Working general IT system technical knowledge for various platform environments * Advanced knowledge of scope and change management, financial tracking, scheduling and resource management and conflict resolution * Working understanding of networking, firewalls, mainframe and midrange systems * Successful track record of effectively managing multiple simultaneous technical projects to completion * Experience running IT infrastructure-related projects * Excellent written and verbal communication * Ability to communicate with all levels of organization * Solid leadership, motivational, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to facilitate discussions, identify, analyze and resolve issues * Ability to meet deadlines, schedules and budgeted costs * Able to work independently * Enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-driven individual * Excellent customer service skills * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project * Bachelorapos;apos;s Degree and at least 6 years of experience in technology project management (equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify) Preferred Skills * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification * Financial services or banking industry background Equal Opportunity Employer
