JOB SUMMARY:
Davis Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Triage Referral. This position will be based at the Main Street Clinic located in Layton, Utah. The triage and referral therapist is an interdepartmental position and is responsible for day-time crisis response, as well as screening, engaging and referring Davis County Residents without Medicaid insurance to appropriate services. This position reports to the Director of Crisis Inpatient Services and requires high flexibility. Knowledge of DBH services and systems would be preferred. Spanish Speaking is a plus. Primary Duties: Handle all daytime crisis calls in the Main Street Clinic for adults and children/youth Respond to community crisis/mental health calls at the request of local police departments Screen all non-Medicaid people (adults and children) requesting DBH services and triage to appropriate services (short-term therapy, education groups, therapy group, community partner, prevention services, etc.) Provide short-term education/therapy (1 -3 sessions); may provide group work Engage potential clients into available services Provide retroactive reviews of charts for past psychiatric inpatient admissions to determine medical necessity of admission and length of treatment Secondary Duties: Assist adult and children/youth mental health programs with initial evaluations when teams are backlogged. Assistance with Form 20 evaluations when needed Back up for civil commitment and mental health court duties Skills Required: Ability to communicate clearly, warmly and consistently with multiple stakeholders (clients, support staff, therapists, law enforcement, hospitals, etc.) Strong Organizational abilities Ability to discern illness severity and make appropriate referrals Good follow-through Good documentation Characteristics Good judgment Supportive (by attitude and behavior) of agency directives Flexible Strong preference will be given to candidates that are licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Utah.
