Full-time Hourly Position for a Forecaster/Planner with JD Edwards experience Summary: Very well versed in using JD Edwards, at least 1-2 years or certified as a user. Minimum of 1-2 years experience using JD Edwards in creating BOMs, work orders, and accounting variances. Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products. MRP or forecasting/planning experience required. Maintain and develop positive business relationships with vendors. Develop an understanding of customers' needs, and take actions to ensure that such needs are met. Participate in the assessment and review of design alternatives and design change proposal impacts. Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations. Manage the logistical aspects of product life cycles, including coordination or provisioning of samples, and the minimization of obsolescence. Report project plans, progress, and results. Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices. Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources. Develop proposals that include documentation for estimates. Review logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: MRP/Forecasting Receive all material, machinery, raw materials, inventory and supplies Creates work orders to assure product and materials are decremented. Verify shipments against purchase orders and examine upon arrival Prepare items for shipment to customers and/or return to supplier Maintain record keeping systems and mark material with part numbers, date and lot codes, revisions, etc. ? Develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures. ? Responsible for all inventories. ? Analyze workflow and apply cost benefit techniques ? Apply long or short term production planning and project management techniques ? Obtain information and pricing from individuals and vendors Necessary Knowledge and Abilities: Requires 1-2 years experience with JD Edwards and forecasting/planning. Must possess excellent customer service skills, attention to project detail and the development of alternative plans to ensure satisfactory deliver of supplies, material, and equipment in accordance with contract terms. Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, Access, and Project (or similar products) is required. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
