Lehi employer is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee the safety of heavy civil building and remediation operations (water tank, water treatment plant, bridge, highway, etc.). Qualifications: B.S. in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, related field or equivalent work experience. Two plus years of construction or related safety experience is preferred. Understanding of OSHA, DOT, and other federal and state regulations. Success managing Workers Compensation claims. Experience administering Drug Alcohol Prevention program and ability to work independently. Computer proficient with Microsoft Office. Demonstrate interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks and responsibilities, influence and motivate employees, supervisors, management, and contractors. Must have good communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving and human relations skills. Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures. Develop action plans and hold people accountable. Coordinate activities to maximize the efficiency of all process. Share lessons learned and best practices. Identify trends and causes, and ensure the implementation and follow up of necessary corrective and preventative measures. Preferred Qualifications: OSHA 500 trained, Professional Certification (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.). Wage is arranged with employer. This is a full time, Monday through Friday.
