Zija International is looking for a FT Machine Operator in the nutraceutical (herbal Industry) for our Manufacturing Facility. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position with previous Nutraceuticals Machine Operating Experience and safety conscious. Summary: Will be cross trained on different machines. Performs quality checks on a daily basis and insures that all products maintain the highest quality standards according to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP?s). Must comply with all GMP?s which include wearing appropriate safety protection which include: hairnets, beard nets, gloves, hearing protection, smocks, dust masks, etc. Reports to the manufacturing manager. Experience preferred. A food handler's permit will be required within 30 days of employment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Runs machines and ensures quality of product from start to finish. - Cleans encapsulation machine, room, and all auxiliary machinery during full, partial, and back to back cleanups. - Adherence to all cGMP's. - Be able to weigh in Kilograms and read scales, use a calculator and perform simple calculations for reconciliation of powders. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Bending, moving, and standing for long periods at a time. - Carry out administrative tasks including ensuring paperwork is complete and correct. - Be able to clean floors, walls, tables, and keep manufacturing area tidy and clean at all times. - Perform simple MRP transactions. - Reports to the manufacturing manager. - Must be safety conscience at all times and adhere to all safety guidelines on machinery and equipment being used. Required Qualifications: - At least one year previous experience - Lift up to 50 lbs. - High school Diploma or GED - Perform simple mathematics and write legibly. - Safety conscious
