This is a very exciting time to join the Quest Quality Assurance team in Lindon, Utah, as we have several upcoming releases in our core products by the end of this year! The QA team supports the development of the following products: Quest Privilege Manager for Unix and Sudo, Quest Management Console for Unix, and Quest Authentication Services. Supporting these products provides opportunities to learn new skills and/or remain current in the following technologies: Active Directory, Java, Python, Web Services, Linux/Unix command-line, SVN versioning control, and Sudo. Our Quality Assurance team is looking for a QA engineer to work closely with Product Development, Customer Support, and the Product Management teams to insure product quality and customer satisfaction. This role will provide opportunities to create test plans, test cases, and automation test suites for the new features in our core products in Lindon, Utah. Essential Responsibilities: -Demonstrate a passion about defending software product quality - Interpreting design documents and functional requirements - Developing test plans and test cases, testing in Windows, Mac OS X, Unix and Linux environments - Develop automated tests using Python. - Executing automated tests, interpret results and reporting them to the development team Minimum Technical Qualifications: - 2+ years dedicated, amp;apos;Hands-onamp;apos; QA Experience - 2+ years Linux / Windows testing experience - Experience writing/maintaining test scripts - Understanding of testing methodology, such as troubleshooting software/hardware issues Desired Qualifications: - Knowledge of C and C++ programming and automated testing software - Mac OS X and Unix experience; - Knowledge of quality control and best practices - Knowledge of Python - Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory - Strong written and oral communication skills - B.S. Computer Science, Information Technology or directly related field, and/or equivalent work and educational experience EOE M/F/D/V
