JOB SUMMARY:
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties of the role include: * Assist in maintaining accurate product costs in accordance with company costing policies. This includes providing costs and analyses for new products. Auditing and maintaining accurate costs within the cost system, and assisting in providing appropriate cost and variance forecasts. Product costs are used to value the finished Goods Inventory and aid in determining product pricing. * Process owner of the Ops reporting processes, including working with production partners to insure the integrity of operations data, complaints and service reporting * Assist in the Period Close processes such as diver model validation, period accruals, and balance sheet review and audit work-papers. * Responsible for completing finished goods reconciliations for outside storage locations in a timely basis * Responsible for insuring that our assets (both fixed capital and inventory) are properly accounted for each period. Includes coordinating of plant physical inventories. * Maintain a strong system of internal controls which will ensure the safeguarding of SFI assets, compliance with GAAP and regulatory agency requirements, and the integrity and objectivity of financial and operational reporting. * Finance Team Support * Support of the annual Fiscal Planning process through analysis and data gathering * Incorporating process excellence within the Financial Accountant job functions * Provide appropriate financial and operational measurement and analysis as required by the various teams supported. This will aid in reducing waste and increasing productivity. It will also provide a factual basis for decision making. Assist in the timely communication of results to the teams supported, and insure that team members understand how their actions affect results. Develop costing skills in anticipation of future advancement. * To share in the development of a culture that thrives on continuous improvement and quality principles. To improve the professional competence of the Finance team through use of the assessment process and through the ongoing development of knowledge and skills. REQUIRED SKILLS: We're looking for leaders who thrive in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate will have: * A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field * Experience in accounting * Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite software (Excel, Word, Etc.) and various Oracle software modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Etc.) * Desire to grow and take on new challenges and opportunities
