L.W. Miller Companies, a national transportation company based in Logan Utah, is seeking a person to assist in all areas pertaining to Transportation and OSHA Safety. This person must have the desire and ability to learn about the always changing Federal, State, and Local laws dealing with Transportation Safety. Requirements Applicant should have good working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, OSHA regulations, and drug testing policies. Should understand and be able to teach hours of service rules. Must be able to provide classroom training. Applicant will review potential employees to assure they meet qualifications and insurance requirements. Required to take accident calls and follow through with required DOT actions if needed. Applicant will share on call duties with Director of Safety. Some travel may be required. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. McLeod AS/400 a plus. This is an hourly position reporting to the Director of Safety.
