ACCOUNTABILITIES: *Promotes and exemplifies zero harm work environment *Ensures all health, safety, and environmental standards for Rio Tinto and outside regulatory agencies are complied with *Leads, instructs, trains, and serves as role model to other employees *Ensures production is safely achieved in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements *Responsible for monitoring and controlling all MAP chemical processes through the Distributed Control System (DCS) *Responds to and takes corrective action on process parameters outside of set points, alarms, or other problems identified through DCS *Directs work necessary to correct process and operational problems *Coordinates with other MAP specialists to ensure correct and efficient operations of the plant *Provides fill-in support for MAP superintendants *Functions in a service-oriented manner as a technical resource for teams and management *Subject matter expert regarding operating and troubleshooting equipment and processes *Supports other MAP Specialists in achieving plant goals QUALIFICATIONS: *A minimum of five years control room experience preferred *Two year college degree, technical/trade degree, or equivalent experience required *Experience in autoclaving, solvent extraction, leaching, crystallizing and calcining is strongly preferred *Strong commitment and demonstration for Health, Safety and Environment required *Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
