LIMS Application Support Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:
LIMS Application Support Analyst is needed for a Magna employer. Will support a portfolio of operational applications in use in our manufacturing sites worldwide. The person in this role will be the primary support for our Global Laboratory information Management (GLIMS) system. In addition of LIMS, the application portfolio comprises Manufacturing Execution Systems. The candidate will provide both break fix support and participation to application enhancements and small projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: * Support of our Global Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) system that is based on LabWare LIMS Version 5.01. The candidate in this position will provide level 2 day to day support, break fix support, participate in improvement initiatives and small projects, develop and support integration with instrumentation, and collaborate with business team members to create Global LIMS solutions. * Support of a diverse catalog of intranet Web applications used for manufacturing. * Support of a diverse catalog of Visual Studio 6 applications used for manufacturing. * Support of a library of data driven Excel Spreadsheets and Access databases. * Support of our current Engineering workflow and drawing management system based on Enovia Smarteam. * Creation of query?s and views across various database platforms as required to fulfill high priority data mining requests. * Documentation of existing business systems and verification that proper change control documentation is updated as changes are made or systems are modified and replaced. Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technolog or a related discipline. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer orientation. * Ability to take on new challenges, learn quickly and identify creative solutions. * Excellent inter-personal skills. This candidate must have experience working in a diverse multi-cultural team environment. * Strong SQL skills including a good understanding of stored procedures, functions, and views. Experience with SQL server 2000 ? 2008 is a must. * A good solid understanding of relational database platforms and relational database concepts. * Experience with a LIMS, ideally LabWare LIMS V5.01 ? LabWare LIMS V6. * Experience with reporting platforms like Microsoft SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Excel is a plus. * Software development experience with Visual Studio .Net is a plus. * Experience with Maximo, Enovia Smarteam, AutoCAD, and Catia is a plus. * Experience with Oracle 9i ? 10G is a plus. * Experience with Oracle Applications and Oracle Forms/ Reports 5.0/3.0/6i is a Plus. * Oracle or SQL server DBA experience is a plus. * Fluent In English. A second language is desirable. Eligible candidate must be: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, a temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Act, a person admitted in refugee status, a person granted asylum.
