Basic Function Responsible for loan file set-up, processing, closing, funding and shipping. Responsibilities Assist in providing service to current mortgage loans, reviewing and organizing the loan file according to office policy. Enter loan information into the computerized loan processing system, ensuring that moneys received at application are forwarded for deposit. Prepare and distribute required disclosures on a timely basis. Send requests for all necessary support documentation such as verifications of employment, deposits, credit report(s) and appraisal, reviewing all supporting documentation for accuracy. Prepare all closing documents and the completed package of the loan file for submission to underwriting. Keep informed of trends and developments in the local real estate market, as well as the changing rules and regulations that pertain to both private and government-insured mortgages. The incumbent will provide support for the loan officer as well as communicating directly with principals involved in each loan transaction. Contact with mortgagors, realtors, builders and developers to assist in determining terms and conditions of loans. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree or lieu of a degree, a minimum of four (4) years related work experience. Thorough understanding of government regulations pertaining to the mortgage lending process, underwriting guidelines and appraisal requirements. Good PC skills with strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Email Platform and Adobe. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
