Job Summary The telemarketing sales representative will assist in preparation of and deliver sales scripts that describe products or services in order to persuade potential customers to purchase or agree to receive additional sales related materials or presentations via email or online webinars. To be successful as a telesales representative, a candidate must be confident and not afraid of rejection. Candidate must also possess excellent oral communication skills and must be engaging in conversation. Candidate must be motivated to perform a repetitive action and must also possess knowledge of the product or services that they are attempting to sell. This position reports directly to the Operations Team Leader. Job Description Responsibilities ? Contact businesses or private individuals by telephone in order to solicit sales for goods or services ? Explain products or services and prices, and answer questions from customers ? Obtain customer information such as name, address, and payment method ? Record names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects contacted ? Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from sources such as telephone directories, magazine reply cards, and lists purchased from other organizations ? Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals ? Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements. ? Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up on initial sales contacts ? Maintain records of contacts, accounts, and orders ? Schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers or for customers to attend sales presentations ? Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers ? Interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner ? Any other task as assigned by management Requirements Skills and Abilities ? Intermediate knowledge of PC software and web-based applications ? Ability to communicate concepts, detailed explanations, and instructions in a clear, straightforward manner ? Ability to react to unexpected inquiries in a confident and professional way, asking for assistance or redirecting customers to appropriate contacts ? Must posses excellent time management skills ? Must be able to plan work to support multiple tasks ? Must be able to work respectfully in a team environment, yet able to complete tasks individually ? Must be able to research issues understanding and providing accurate information Education and Experience ? High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) ? 1-2 years experience working in a call center ? 1-2 years sales experience ? Familiarity with online research techniques ? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word preferable ? Database management skills a plus ? SalesForce experience a plus ? Foreign language skills a plus
