JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the QA Director, is responsible to perform a variety of Quality Assurance functions, including overseeing QA in the feed mill and live production of turkeys, and ensuring compliance with FDA, USDA, and company guidelines. DUTIES Animal welfare audits on the farm and in the processing plant ? Report deficiencies, establish corrective actions and preventative measures Responsible for creating, implementing, and verifying feed mill Quality Assurance plan and feed mill HACCP plan Managing CAFO nutrient management program Overseeing FDA and feed mill audits Responsible for State and Federal regulations and registration of feeds, and revisions to feed tags Oversee NIR analysis of feed and calibrate NIR equipment Overseeing sample collection and analysis of feeds and other laboratory required testing Responsible for personnel training of live hangers and loading crews bi-annually. Managing pre-requisite, SOP's, and necessary documentation for feed mill programs. Performs other duties as assigned Experience 1. Demonstrated ability to work well with others. 2. Self-motivated; ability to function without continuous supervision. 3. Ability to exercise good judgment. 4. Ability to work safely and report safety hazards. 5. Skilled record keeper, ability to produce and maintain accurate paperwork 6. Demonstrated capability in an quality assurance environment 7. Must know and understand quality assurance procedures 8. Prior experience working in a feed/food production environment ****Quality Assurance, agricultural, and/or feed mill experience preferred.****
