Job Description This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patientamp;rsquo;s family, clinical staff, and others; consultation withother healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes. * NP will provide low risk care and/or urgent care to established patients of physicians in the practice. * NP will provide womenamp;rsquo;s health care in a consultative practice model with a focus on gynecologic health and urgent care. * NP will not provide obstetric care. * Candidate should be certified in Womenamp;rsquo;s Health, Family Practice, or Adult medicine. Specific procedures that will be performed may include: * Wound checks, dressing changes, staple removal * Bladder cath/scan * Colposcopy with biopsy (not cryotherapy or LEEP) and ECC (non pregnant patients only) * Sterile vaginal exams * IUD placement * Endometrial biopsy * Skin and vulvar biopsies * Destruction of lesions-warts, and molluscum * Removal Bartholinamp;rsquo;s cysts Consulting Physician will ensure that appropriate training takes place and that procedural competence is verified prior to the NP performing without direct supervision. Consulting physician will ensure that NP is oriented to practice specific processes and protocols. Position is a full-time. The position will not participate in call or hospital rounding, but may perform pre and post-op care. Minimum Requirements * Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or license eligible * Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Nurse Practitioner * Eligible for state Controlled Substance License II through V * Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V * This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
