We invite you to watch the Patient Access Staffing Express Video previewing this exciting opportunity.    The Registrar is often the first person our patients meet on their arrival to the hospital and is crucial to creating a positive experience. By providing exceptional customer service, the registrar helps the patient feel comfortable and at ease as they accurately collect patient data and obtain all necessary demographic, financial, and clinical information. They articulate billing process information and discuss insurance benefits, cost estimates, collect co-pay amounts,and identify financial assistance resources if needed. They direct the patient to the care area and identify potential wait times if any. By providing complete and accurate information, the patient stays informed and knows what to expect during their hospital visit. Registrars impact patient s lives every day and truly make a difference to those they serve.    This position has the adaptability to provide a flexible work schedule with the opportunity to be a part of a valley wide floating registrar team serving LDS Hospital, Alta View Hospital, Intermountain Medical Center, Riverton Hospital, The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital,and Primary Childrenapos;s Medical Center. This team works in various areas of registration such as ERs, lab, radiology, admitting, call center and surgery check-in. This position does haveon call requirementwith theexpectation of arrival to the assignedfacility within 30 minutes after receiving the call. The selected candidate must have reliable transportation.    Training for this position requires selected candidate to be available for 7 consecutive weekdays 12:00 - 1830.  Some positions also require the ability to perform in visually graphic and emotionally difficult situations, i.e. Emergency Room Department.    This is a PRN (as required) position. There are no guaranteed shifts. The selected candidate must have access to the internet because all shifts are scheduled on-line with little advance notice. Mustbe flexiblewithbroad availabilityto work varying shifts, shifts start as early as 5:00am. Staffing is required seven days a week and holidays.    Entry Pay Rate: $11.54    Minimum Requirements    Must haveone or more years of customer service experience    Intermediate skills with word processingand Windows navigation    Ability to type 30 WPM (words per minute)    Experience working effectively in time sensitive situations, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and able to make prompt, responsible decisions.    Good communication skills    Preferred Qualifications    Data entry experience    Medical office experience    Experience collecting and negotiating payments    Experience working registration for a medical office    Bilingual in English and Spanish    Medical terminology    All positions subject to close without notice  Intermountain Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V    This position does haveon call requirementwith theexpectation of arrival to the assignedfacility within 30 minutes after receiving the call.    Please Note:  After applying, please check your email often.
