JOB SUMMARY:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: ? Troubleshoot, diagnose and make repairs to electronic equipment installed in buildings. Including but not limited to Fire Alarm Systems, Nurse Call Systems, Intrusion Alarm and Card Access Systems, Closed Circuit Television equipment, some Sound and Audio equipment and other related building systems. ? Be available off hours to be called out in the event of emergencies ? Be prepared to work in any setting from Correctional Institutions to Corporate Buildings, Hospitals and Educational facilities ? Be prompt and responsive to assignments and work requirements CORE COMPETENCIES: ? Must be able to obtain the licenses and certifications ? Maintain State of Utah Fire Alarm minimum Level 2 certification. ? Maintain current Utah State DOPL License. ? Maintain a Limited Energy license as required. ? Actively work to achieve NICET certification and maintain current level. ? Maintain Factory Certifications as required. Communication Skills ? Effectively conveys information in both written and verbal discussions with customers and co-workers. ? Performs daily pre-task planning to ensure necessary parts and labor is provided to the project. ? Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors ? Resolves and/or escalates project issues in a timely fashion. Technical Understanding ? Possesses general understanding in the systems we will provide for each project. ? Understands and applies basic computer skills. ? Possess a thorough understanding of our capabilities ? Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies. Obtain necessary certification and understand the potential application for future business. ? Understands Basic First Aid procedures. ? Understand blueprints, plans, schematic diagrams and the use of riser diagrams. PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES: Teamwork ? Work in a team setting to diagnose, troubleshoot, plan and engineer solutions for technical equipment and installations ? Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner. ? Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members. ? Works with team members to avoid conflict and communication problems. Customer Management ? Works with customers closely to determine needs and opportunities. ? Sets and manages customer expectations. ? Develops lasting relationships with customer personnel that foster customer ties. ? Communicates effectively with customers to identify needs. ? Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen relationships. ? Builds a knowledge base of each customer's business, organization and objectives. ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Internal Operations ? Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. ? Works closely with management to grow and develop in area of expertise ? Complies with Company's standard policies and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical Aptitude ? Possesses knowledge of the use of hand and power tools required for the work being performed under his direction. ? Possesses knowledge in the use of Digital Test equipment in monitoring and measuring electronic circuitry. ? Applies and understands safety issues required for work being performed. ? Ensures Personal Protective Equipment is available and used on project. ? Helps employees with training on using the appropriate tools for the job. ? Understand Basic Construction methods relating to cabling, wiring, electrical connectors, panel assembly and limited energy codes. Physical Requirements ? Required to lift up to 100 pounds. ? Must possess mobility with arms and legs to move around project unaided, including carrying ladders and moving tools and equipment. ? Must be able to operate lifts and perform tasks while in a lift. ? Must understand appropriate methods for ?Fall Protection? and employ approved methods. ? Must be alert and in focus while at work and understand company policy as it relates to Drug and Alcohol abuse.
