JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Compliance Specialist is needed for a Murray employer. The Sr. Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting compliance programs and activities within established legal and regulatory guidelines. This includes development, implementation and administration of compliance systems and processes designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, as well as employee training and ongoing awareness of compliance issues. The Sr. Compliance Specialist will assist in preparing monthly reports to senior leadership and Board reports regarding compliance and investigation activities. The Sr. Compliance Specialist will be responsible for working on compliance matters as assigned, but will be principally responsible for compliance activities for the Utah-based staff and operations. The specific activities will vary depending on direction from leadership. This position will also participate in special internal projects as requested. Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare industries, clinical degree in healthcare related field with substantial experience in healthcare compliance, or 4+ years work experience within the compliance field required. * Healthcare compliance certification desired. Experience / Knowledge: * 4+ years of experience working with federal and state regulatory issues. * At least one year experience writing corporate level compliance and/or legal policy and procedure documents. * Experience with HIPAA Privacy and Security and other similar compliance activities, including risk analysis, highly desired. Skills: * Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. * Comfortable working with various vendor software, training programs and intranet websites. * Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills required. * Proficient presentation skills, including board presentations and staff orientations.
