JOB SUMMARY:
Position: Customer Support Specialist Mid-level Clearance: This role requires the ability to acquire and maintain a Favorable National Agency Check due to Client's requirements Location: Hill AFB, Ogden, Utah Education: Bachelor Degree preferred Experience: At least 6 years Key Role/Position Description: ? Provide supervisory support of the Customer Support Technicians ? Serve as the primary DLA face to the industrial customer on a wide range of issues involving both DLA and Non-DLA managed items and to ensure the timely processing of customer orders and customer access to product, account and order information. ? Provide tailored customer support, maintain customer data and respond to customer inquiries. Review unfilled order status reports on a daily basis, and take appropriate action to escalate those that do not meet customer requirements. Responsible for receiving and processing order cancellations, providing status updates and modifications, following up on customer receipts, and maintaining customer data as required. Investigates, coordinates, and manually releases requisitions requiring corrective actions to allow for them to properly flow through the automated systems in accordance with the expedite policy. With proper coordination, research and track Stock Transport Orders (STOs)/replenishment actions to facilitate resolution of unfilled orders or takes action to expedite delinquent contracts having an impact on unfilled orders using established policies/guidance. ? Using lateral support, monitor cross-agency sources of supply to ensure assets are available for issue when required. Execute lateral support transaction to alleviate work-stop inducing unfilled orders whenever possible following established business rules. Recommend use of alternative sources of supply when faced with long lead times and identify potential sources of supply for emergency requirements only when there is a requisition. Researches sources of manufacture for emergency purchases, provides input to local purchase packages for proper review and follow up with acquisition personnel as appropriate. ? As required, contact industrial customers to facilitate the resolution of customer transactional problems/issues; follow-up with appropriate DLA specialists, i.e., Resolution Specialist, Equipment Specialist, Product Specialist to ensure supply/quality discrepancies are being worked/resolved; and research and work to resolve various problems arising during fulfillment of requisitions. Explain established policies, procedures and practices and resolve problems concerning requisitions, receipts, discrepancies, or other customer requests. As required, create Customer Relationship Management (CRM) service tickets. Following established business rules, procedures and/or directions, respond to routine CRM service tickets for issues requiring support from other DLA organizations or those escalated from other DLA customer support employees. ? Research and apply a wide range of established supply support policies, procedures, regulations, and operating instructions. As necessary, properly refer questions regarding appropriate interpretation and/or application of available guidance for assistance/instructions.
