JOB SUMMARY:

Acts under the supervision of Registered Nurse in the preparation and delivery of instruments and supplies for use during surgical procedures. Technician will assist under the supervision of a Registered Nurse with patient care, and related services in the operating room and provide proper care and maintenance of instruments. Responsible for supporting the nursing staff with routine duties, and for transporting patients to their room following established safety procedures. Demonstrates professional conduct and accountability in accordance with hospital philosophy and mission statement. Qualifications Current Surgical Scrub Technician certification Current BLS certification. Familiar with and knowledge of medical supplies is highly preferred. Knowledge of AORN guidelines. Good sterile technique. Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
