JOB SUMMARY:
Job Title: Supervisor Injection Molding Line Location: Orem, UT Pay Rate: DOE Employment Type: Full Time Work hours are Monday - Friday 2pm-10:30pm Must have experience with Injection Molding Operations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school 1-3 years experience directing all activities within a molding department Must demonstrate cooperative behavior towards co-workers, supervisors, and customers at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Insures that all tools and fixtures needed are provided and in proper working condition. Expedites "Rush" orders. Observes the processes of each team member to insure that schedules are met. Insures that quality and production levels are maintained. Directs all activities, attendance records, and corrective action procedures with department employees. Keeps updated on the inventory required to produce each product and coordinates material needs with Purchasing Directs and coordinates team members to achieve production goals. Maintains working knowledge of all applicable processes. Evaluates written data such as job orders, product specifications and operations sheets, and materials inventory lists, to establish efficient allocation of parts, materials, and sequences of operations and workflow. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Coordinates all machine changeovers, maintenance, and operation. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Manager for action. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. Keeps communication lines open between Production Manager and workers. (SUPERVISORY) Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have an understanding of injection molding process Must be able to change molds in injection machines up to 300 tons Must be able to trouble shoot mold processes Must have an understanding of different materials, material drying and material delivery systems. RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 6 to 12 employees within the Molding Production Team. Carries out all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
