JOB SUMMARY:

Provides direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Performs general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. Participates in process improvement activities Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience in Labor Delivery Must be able to work 2 scheduled shifts and 3 on-call shifts per month Current State of Utah Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification (available after hire). STABLE Certification, must obtain within 6 months of date of hire and then maintain certification. Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Fetal Monitoring certification preferred. Must obtain NRP certification within 1 year from date of hire and then maintain certification. Department Leveling Program applies to this position. Levels are RN E, RN 1, RN 2, RN 3 and RN 4. Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak English. Good verbal and written skills required. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required
