Blendtec is now expanding our presence in our Residential Sales division, and we are looking for a passionate, experienced, and driven Sales-Account Manager with at least four years of retail key account management experience, preferably within the housewares industry, to develop our domestic sales channels. Tasks Summary: Responsible for managing the sales relationships for several well-known national and regional accounts. Mandatory skills include finding, researching, negotiating and developing product mix recommendations and programs for each account. This role also requires excellent internal and external communication and negotiation skills. You will be charged with growing and managing account PL. Previous experience in working within a cross-functional team is necessary. This is a high-profile position within the growing Residential Sales Department at Blendtec, and you will be expected to make an immediate impact. Successful candidates will understand retail business models, semantics, and merchandising techniques. For successful candidates there will be additional career growth opportunities. Core Responsibilities Requirements: - Previous experience in selling to large national retail accounts is mandatory, preferably in the small kitchen electrics segment of the housewares industry. - Experience in creating and negotiating programs for retailers that include the use of co-op advertising funds, incentive rebates, consumer rebates, M.A.P. pricing programs and other promotional efforts. - Experience in managing and improving PL. - Must understand retail positioning and demonstrate understanding of how to manage and minimize channel conflict. - Experience in working for companies with established consumer brands is a plus. - Hands-on experience in creating and managing event-marketing initiatives. - Up to 50% travel required. Other Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or related field required, MBA preferred. This position will be based at the corporate headquarters in Orem, Utah and will require the candidate to reside within commuting distance of the office. Generally requires 4+ years of successful regional or national retail account management experience with a documented, proven track record.
