JOB SUMMARY:

Provides indirect patient care in the nursery setting, consistent with the unit's standards of care. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, department staff and medical staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect Qualifications C.N.A. License or Medical Assistant Certificate preferred. Current BLS certification (available after hire). One (1) year of work experience working in a hospital nursery setting/women center preferred. Skills: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology Must be able to read, write and speak English. Good verbal and written skills required. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.
