JOB SUMMARY:
Essential functions: 1.Use programming skills and available testing technology to create automated load, performance, regression, acceptance, and compatibility tests to run against developed desktop, web and mobile applications. 2.Work closely with project managers and development to understand features and create comprehensive test strategies to verify functionality 3.Execute and analyze both automated and manual test cases and evaluate their results. 4.Provide mentoring and technical guidance to the efforts of other QA Analysts and Engineers in the realm of automation and white box testing. 5.Conduct ad-hoc technical training, design and code reviews, and resolve technical issues for the test automation suite. 6.Produce clear and detailed reports that reflect open issues for QA, development, and management groups to review. 7.Work under minimal supervision while delivering on the goals and schedules set by management. 8.Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers and management. Job Qualifications: 1.Familiarity with various testing types and techniques: black box, white box, integration, usability, smoke, negative, acceptance, regression, etc. 2.Knowledge of automated testing tools such as TestComplete, Selenium, QTP, Rational Robot, etc. 3.Excellent written and verbal English skills. 4.The necessary focus to drill deep into software to identify, reproduce, and isolate software defects 5.Working knowledge of server virtualization technology like VMWare, Microsoft? Hyper-V, Xen, Oracle? VirtualBox or Remote Desktop. 6.BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical degree. 7.2+ years in the software industry with experience in quality assurance or related work preferred. 8.2+ years of professional software development experience, including n-tier software development experience preferred. 9.Good scripting skills in common languages like VBScript, JavaScript, etc.
