JOB SUMMARY:

Job Summary: The successful candidate will perform reliability related tests and evaluations under the direction of the Reliability Manager. He or she will be able to work semi-independently to work with X-Ray engineers to execute testing of components or systems and be able to organize results for entry into reports or Reliability analysis software. Essential Functions: 1. Oversee reliability testing in X-ray related products under the guidance of the Reliability Manager analyze data and make statistically based conclusions. 2. Design and perform mechanical and electrical tests to assure fault coverage for digital and analog defects. 3. Use DOE, FMEA, FTA and other principles of robust design for reliability growth. 4. Use understanding of various reliability tests to assess reliability capability. 5. Maintain and oversee critical precision testing components and hardware. 6. Detail oriented, to function as an interface for the reliability group in the execution of important tests. 7. Functions as the first screen to allow useful data in the data analysis process. 8. A basis for understanding and a willingness to learn the relationships between statistically based operations and real world applications. Essential Responsibilities: 1. Ownership of the data and the integrity of the data collection system. 2. Responsible for organization and professionalism in representing reliability issues. 3. Responsible for following and improving efficiency in established and developing test protocols. 4. Good communication skills able to organize and report results from reliability testing Education and Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology or equivalent. 2. Experience in a laboratory environment and interacting with test equipment. 3. Able and willing to work 'hands on' with test and reliability equipment. 4. Experience with analog and digital electronics, x-ray component and systems a definite plus Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. 1. A self-starter, willing to observe while performing 'hands on' tasks. 2. Understanding of common mechanical and electronic systems and hardware. 3.
