JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee all operations of the retail outlets through effective management of labor, sales and operations. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Protect Company assets. Assist Director in the implementation of retail loss prevention program. Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow The Resort?s etiquette guidelines. Assist Director in developing and maintaining financial budgets and projections for the General Store. Meet or improve upon budget in the following areas: sales, labor, operating expense, inventory shrinkage and margins. Develop gift assortments that comply with the open-to-buy budget, support departmental needs of the customer and the financial objectives of the division. Travel domestically in order to execute the procurement plan of quality, branded goods that represent value to our customers. Maintain a professional, well-respected operation. Ensure that quality and consistent customer service standards are met. Train, coach and motivate sales staff. Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to within Store. Ensure that all customers are greeted/acknowledged within one minute of entering store. Assure customer satisfaction. Participate in Company-wide customer service programs. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, store promotions and sales events. Exercise competence, credibility and commitment. Perform other tasks as assigned. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Supervision received: Direction is received from Director of Retail, Rental and Repair Supervision exercised: Supervision of 2-6 sales associates. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy items. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years related experience or training in the area of retail management operations. Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups of managers, employees, vendors and the general public. Must be able to use, calculate and analyze formulas specific to the retail business, such as margin, turn, etc. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to manage resources for maximum profitability, effectiveness and efficiency. Must have the skill to manage, motivate and generate enthusiasm in sales team.
