JOB SUMMARY:
The PBX telephone operator is responsible for: handling incoming and outgoing phone calls; responding to guest requests; learn and disseminate basic hotel information; be knowledgeable of procedures and techniques necessary for the smooth operation of the department. PBX Operators are required to: display a guest orientation; possess a working knowledge of computers; and display an excellent phone manner.This position requires a Pre-Hire Assessment as part of the application process. For best results we recommend you complete the assessment in one seating without any interruptions or distractions and therefore advise that you begin the application process when you can dedicate 20-30 minutes of uninterrupted time to apply for this opening. Interstate is an EEO/AA/M/F/D/V employer.The AYS Agent is responsible for answering all internal and external calls; dispatch housekeeping engineering as needed with follow up on completion of all dispatched items; and guest issues and resolutions.
