JOB SUMMARY:

Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) by following the Etiquette Guidelines. Obtain certification of binding manufacturers for all bindings used in shop?s rental inventory. Accurately and efficiently fit boots, select skis/boards and adjust bindings for rental customers. Understand and classify skis, boards and boots by user profile. Become proficient at function testing rental equipment. Accurately complete all rental contracts and write up work orders completely. Ring up sales on rental register and accurately handle cash/check/credit card transactions and rental deposits. Become familiar with skiing/riding and services with emphasis Ski and Snowboard School services. Understand and competently perform point-of-sale transactions, data entry and cash/check/credit card transactions. Accurately perform user instruction upon ski/board pick up for both rentals and shop work. Maintain shop appearance and safety as directed by supervisors in cleaning, vacuuming, shoveling snow, etc. Understand and accurately execute the rental shop boot, ski and board inventory process. Visit and become familiar with competitors? stores. Qualifications High school education or equivalent desirable. Binding manufacturer's certification preferred. Ski tuning/repair and boot fitting experience strongly preferred. Technical/mechanical knowledge and skills in ski tuning and repair, and maintenance and repair of other ski equipment, desirable. Ability and interest in learning skills to maintain a wide variety of shop tools and equipment used in ski equipment maintenance and repair. Strong communications and organizational skills necessary. Ability to converse clearly, comfortably and calmly with a variety of guests. Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
