JOB SUMMARY:
Greet every guest promptly, provide superior customer service while preparing serving food and beverages, including beer, wine cocktails in a neat and timely manner. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide superior service to all guests, maintaining close contact to ensure their satisfaction, with constant improvement of all elements of service quality. Understand completely Talisker Club?s policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines training programs. Including presenting a professional appearance by illustrating Talisker?s Dress Grooming Policy. Exhibit and exemplify knowledge understanding of menu all beverages offered. Greet every guest promptly in a friendly, professional timely manner. When applicable, add to the guest relation database of special preferences, including all requests. Address and document guest concerns complaints by engaging with appropriate follow up. Perform opening shift tasks as assigned, including, but not limited to: preparing the bar for service, cleaning, stocking, polishing glasses, checking taps/CO2, organizing, etc. Ensure the bar is operating under accordance with the Utah state regulations under the DABC rules regulations. Including the measuring, recording dispensing of all drinks. Record drink orders accurately and immediately into point of sale systems. During shift: ensure the quality of service, drinks food, keeping bar stocked, including changing kegs as needed (weighing up to 165 pounds.), keeping cleaned organized in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas. Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar seats. Preparing maintaining required and any additional applicable records reports. Control handle all cash and cash out procedures for service area, utilizing point of sale systems. Present checks to servers and/or guests. Complete closing duties including, but not limited to: cleaning, stocking, and organizing, locking, and applicable compliance procedures. Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to Lead Bartender and/or Manager on Duty. Other tasks as assigned. Traits/ Qualifications Successful candidates will have vast mixology and wine knowledge, a high attention to detail and service style, waiting time, the ability to operate with grace under pressure, overall strong organizational skills. KEY COMPENTENCIES: High degree of Beverage knowledge, including, but not limited to beer, wine liquor. Eye for detail. Capable of recognizing repairing any items that effect guest satisfaction. Ability to handle nightly guest and logistical stress. Ability to communicate with all guests comfortably and efficiently. Ability to analyze work processes and behaviors for quality, cost efficiency to make improvements. Ability to handle guest complaints pre-complaints professionally and efficiently. CREDENTIAL AND EXPERIENCE: As required by Utah law, bartenders must be 21 years of age or older. Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent education, required. Completion of College/University Program, desirable. Together with at least four years in related field preferred, or a combination of education experience from which a comparable amount of knowledge is acquired. Working knowledge and experience with `Digital Dining? point of sale systems, desired. Sufficient reading, writing, computer math skills with the ability to solve problems and calculations, required. Knowledge of relevant health safety regulations procedures. Food handlers beverage service permits required by the state of Utah. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, lift, push carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds or more on a regular basis
