JOB SUMMARY:
Welcome guests while checking lift tickets. Assist in maze control, answering questions. DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES Guide our guests and guides to extraordinary experiences. Adhere to and promote The Canyons culture of PRIDE. Greet and welcome all guests. Actively engage every guest who approaches the lift maze. Seek out guests who may need assistance. Ensure all lift tickets and passes are checked and scanned. Assist in handling concerns/problems (i.e. invalid passes, long lift lines) in a professional manner Be informed and proactively describe and explain activities, events, programs and services to guests. Operate and troubleshoot the ticket checking scan guns. Understand all ticket and season pass products. Carry trail maps, resort reports, zip ties and field guide at all times. Receive and assess guest complaint/problems or special requests and provide on-the-spot resolution. Assist with maze set up and help to maintain professional appearance of lift areas. Actively assist in keeping the resort clean. Assist in parking and guest services departments when needed. Perform other tasks as assigned. WORKING RELATIONSHIP This position reports directly to the Ticket Checking Supervisor. Physical requirements Exposure to inclement weather conditions. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Manual dexterity. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Ability to ski or snowboard at the intermediate level or better. QUALIFICATIONS High School education or equivalent. Ability to operate and troubleshoot ticket checking scan guns. Ability to work in all types of weather conditions for extended periods of time. Knowledge of employer and local area preferred. Ability to learn a variety of information about services, programs, activities, policies and procedures. Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to converse clearly and comfortably with a variety of guests. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
