JOB SUMMARY:
Follows and adheres to all company and departmental service standards. Maintain a safe work area; i.e. tools stored, snow removal, deck clear of debris etc Abides by operating procedures; i.e. opening/closing procedures, inspections of equipment, communicating with guests etc.. Pleasantly greets, makes eye contact, listens to and responds appropriately to every guest?s needs and or questions, in person. Adapts to changing business levels. Follows and performs all departmental policies and procedures, i.e. punctuality, attendance, dress and grooming standards, etc. Work is performed in an efficient, accurate and organized manner. Displays respect for fellow Guides at all times. Monitor the operations of the Zip Tour and its components continually, and notify appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditions. Completes all required paperwork legibly and in a timely manner. Willingly performs expected amount of snow work Responsible for accurate record keeping pertaining to all operational log sheets. Adheres to all ski/ride policies, i.e., personal jackets, Responsibility Code, designated trails, etc? Returns from breaks on time and when expected. Check tickets if necessary; ensure that riders have valid ticket; refuse entry to snow riders without valid ticket, and refer to appropriate personnel for assistance. Willingly performs other tasks as assigned. Lift/push twenty pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally Shovel snow, chip ice for periods of time throughout the work day Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, hear, see, repetitive motions, carry Drive on-snow and road vehicles (if trained to do so) Run snow blowers (once trained to do so) Ski or Ride at an intermediate level (if not you will be assigned to lifts that do not require you to ski or ride to get to work.) WORK CONDITIONS Outdoors in various weather conditions, that can be very inclement. Temperatures ranging from negative 0 Fahrenheit and up. Average temperature is usually high twenties to low thirties Fahrenheit. At high altitude QUALIFICATIONS High school education desirable, showing basic mechanical aptitude. Ability to work quickly and alertly, and to strictly observe safety procedures. Ability to learn a variety of information about activities, events, policies, procedures, schedules, and the like pertaining to the resort and the area. Good interpersonal skills; Ability to engage guests in a courteous, efficient, and confident manner. Strong understanding of guest service Take PRIDE in a job well done Contributing Team Player UNIFORM Employer issued jackets (outer jacket, soft shell) and pants Employer issued beanie and baseball hat Employer issued short sleeve shirts (black, white or exact matching long sleeve may be worn under the short sleeve shirt) Name tag on every layer Conservatively colored gloves/mittens in good repair Boots that are conservatively colored, warm, with excellent traction for ice and snow.
