Behavioral Health Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, organizes, directs, defines and controls services provided with the assigned Behavioral Health Program. Must demonstrate an ability to provide specified services to meet the legal, organizational, hospital and medical staff guidelines. SUPERVISOR - Behavioral Health Services Program Director SUPERVISES - Directly supervises Social Services, Activity Therapy and Mobile Assessment Team (MAT) personnel. Works closely with the Nurse Manager to coordinate the patient program. Leads staff meetings Provides leadership to effectively manage departments operations as measured through FTE's, Core Measures and financial expectations being met on an annual basis Develop relationship with other department managers as evidenced by attendance Timely submission of MAT activity data to the Program Director Demonstrates respect to customer and patient as demonstrated by >__% patient complaints Define and implement service excellence standards upon hire within 90 days and updates standards annually Takes action to meet customer needs and concerns as evidenced by written action plans Acts as or assigns Program Patient Advocate Monitors and optimizes expense controls monthly Work with Nurse Manager to maximize productivity and service delivery; reviews with leadership daily through determined meeting setting Manages staff performance through regular reviews 90 day, 6 month and yearly process Provides leadership in managing, facilitating and communicating program goals Ensures new employees are oriented to specific job duties through review of orientation checklist within 90 days of hire Operates with integrity by being accountable to timelines and deadlines Remains open to ideas through holding open forums with staff to solicit ideas Develops direction for staff Develops structure Program goal setting; annually provides plan to Program Director by January Involves others in decision making process throughout above written plan formulation Contribute indicators of program to the PI dashboard by January 1st of each year Work to establish proven outcomes process Behaves ethically and honestly as demonstrated through training / education modules designated by HCA Fosters trust in relationships; no employee complaints without resolution as dictated through action plans Allocates resources effectively and ethically per HCA Behavioral Health Services standards and regulatory standards Actions consistent with code of conduct Participates in the development of business development plans with the Program Director to be completed annual by end of January Monitors business development efforts Monitors MAT team participation and effectiveness related to the business development plan. Maintains compliance to local, state and federal compliance agencies Meet HBIPS/Core Measures benchmarks Patient Treatment Program standards are met Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES Must have a valid driver's license. A firm grounding in the principles of behavioral health administration and must be capable of organizing, managing, promoting and thoroughly evaluating a program and mobile assessment team. EDUCATION Preferably possess a Masters Degree in the behavioral sciences, or social work.
