CNC Machinist and Programmer

JOB SUMMARY:
A growing manufacturer of home hardware components located in Provo, Utah, has an immediate opening for a CNC Programmer CNC Machinists. Requires minimum 3-5 years programming experience with any Cad/Cam Software, but experience with BobCam is a plus. Applicant must know how to use modern machine shop inspection tools and be proficient in reading blue prints. Position Description: ? Responsible for programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machining equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: ? CNC programming ? Operation and setup for CNC turning and milling ? Determine tooling and material needs ? Following and improving manufacturing procedures ? Communicate with supervisor, engineers, quality control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues ? Responsible for loading material, operating controls, setting offsets, program edits, deburring and close inspection of product quality ? Interpret drawings to ensure dimensions of finished products are within tolerance ? Other duties as needed Qualifications/Skills: ? High mechanical aptitude,. Proficiency with Mac computers and windows based computers ? Functional knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments. Instruments should include but are not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales. ? Functional knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediate understanding of geometric tolerance and dimension. ? Attentive to detail ? Good interpersonal skills ? Self-motivated, focused, organized Qualifications Required: Minimum 2-5 years machinist experience in a small to mid size related manufacturing company (industry experience strongly preferred) or machine shop type environment Experience performing and coordinating component manufacturing activities Strong leadership abilities - delegating work and scheduling / prioritizing Forklift license preferred Computer savvy - MS Office and Excel Salary/Rate: Starting at $18 hourly/Increase in pay DOE Other Items of Interest: Paid days off Excellent Health Insurance Bonuses Annual pay rate increases Contact name: Paul Allen.
