Data Center Supervisor Data Center Supervisor need for our client in Provo IMMEDIATELY. This position is the perfect mix of hands on and management. We need someone that has hands on experience in a data center and at least 2+ years in a supervisory position. Duties include planning and supervision of data center activities and managing the data center technician, service desk secondary support and monitoring staff. The goals of this position are to oversee the setting, monitoring and meeting or exceeding the service expectation of the other infrastructure teams. Oversee the data center facility appearance and integrity. Supervise the data center activities of resource planning, cabling and hardware installations. Supervise the workmanship of all data center wiring so that it meets industry and best practice standards. Other duties as may be assigned by Technical Operations Manager or Global Infrastructure Director such as participation in the IT Infrastructure change management process or providing assistance on infrastructure projects, as such situations arise. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise daily task of hardware installations, de-installations, and cabling requests. 2. Staff reviews. 3. Overseen data center assets. 4. Oversee all aspects of the data center facility appearance and integrity. 5. Monitor Data Center key resources and plan for usage. Qualifications: 1. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, projects, and interruptions 2. Previous experience in a management or technical support role maintaining high service levels in a demanding data center environment 3. Good leadership skills 4. Excellent communications with others, especially regarding management and technical matters 5. Working knowledge of HVAC, Power, Fire, Security building systems operations and safety 6. Working knowledge of networking, data processing, programming and telecommunications principles 7. Data center skills and experience in installing/moving equipment and cabling on a large-scale basis 8. ICOR Data Center Professional or Specialist training is a plus 9. Experience working with various networking hardware such as cross connects, patch panels, routers, and switches 10. Basic knowledge of common network protocols such as TCP/IP 11. Analytical skills for solving complex problems through both technology and leadership methods 12. Experience with fault isolation and troubleshooting techniques used in a LAN or WAN network 13. Experience with data center issues, including security, resource management, capacity planning, monitoring, and performance 14.
