The Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative will cooperate with management, outside sales, and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers, and meet monthly sales quotas, while providing superior customer service. Job Duties: - Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner - Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions - Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications - Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers? profitability profiles - Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns - Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items - Obtain and provide accurate information from/to Operations relating to customer related issues - Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability - Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items - Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction - Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed - Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints - Fill requests for catalogs, information and/or samples - Remain current on consumer preferences, by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals - Setup and maintain customer files in ERP and/or CRM system - Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the distribution team - Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products - Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software - Follow company policies and procedures - Present a professional image at all times to customers, co-workers, and vendors - Cleaning and lifting (up to 25 lbs.) as assigned - Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements: - Delivers superior customer service - Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and good phone skills - Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards - Knowledge of GlyMed Plus products, services, education - Technical expertise and knowledge of company products - Problem-solving and analytical ability - Accuracy and attention to detail - Comfortable in fast-paced environment - Professional demeanor - Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact - Manages time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities - Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, etc.) - Team player who works productively with wide range of people - Able to work independently with some direction - Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures - Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques - Superior organizational skills - Knowledge of logistics, including carriers, shipping policies and procedures - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and distribution software - Ability to learn ERP and CRM system - Education: High school diploma/GED required (Aesthetics License preferred) - Experience: Minimum 2 years in similar position preferred - Experience in retail business to business sales preferred - Minimum 1 year in progressive position - Product/applications experience required
