JOB SUMMARY:
POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for food preparation. Maintain high standards of quality food production. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Training and Experience: Food handlers permit required. Two years experience in food preparation preferred. Completed certification of Serve Safe National Program. Knowledge Required: Knowledge of proper food preparation and safety methods. Must possess a current certificate for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Meal preparation for clients. 2. Estimates food requirements and compiles purchasing lists. 3. Provides menu planning for a 4 week cycle and changes menu planning on a seasonal basis. 4. Assures that all menu planning is approved by the consulting dietitian. 5. Maintains equipment and cooking area to ensure safe and sanitary conditions. 6. Participates in the facility wide PI program. 7. Assists in preparing catering bids. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
